Once you complete the admissions process you are automatically considered for an academic scholarship award. In addition to academic merit awards, UMobile also offers a variety of talent-based scholarships. Freshman Academic Scholarships:
Presidential Scholarship Award
- $11,000 per year
- $1,000 per year Room and Board Grant for students living on campus
- Based on academic achievement (see scholarship calculator)
- Automatic renewal if student maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and enrolls in at least 12 hours per semester
- Receivable up to 8 semesters
Founder's Scholarship Award
- $9,000 per year
- $1,000 per year Room and Board Grant for students living on campus
- Based on academic achievement (see scholarship calculator)
- Automatic renewal if student maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.00 and enrolls in at least 12 hours per semester
- Receivable up to 8 semesters
Dean’s Scholarship Award
- $7,000 per year
- $1,000 per year Room and Board Grant for students living on campus

- Automatic renewal if student maintains a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and enrolls in at least 12 hours per semester
- Receivable up to 8 semesters
University Scholarship Award
- $5,000 per year
- Additional $1,000 per year Room and Board Grant for students living on campus

- Automatic renewal if student maintains a cumulative GPA of 2.0 and enrolls in at least 12 hours per semester
- Receivable up to 8 semesters
Transfer Merit Scholarship:
The University of Mobile Transfer Merit Scholarship is awarded to students who have at least 24 transferable semester hours from another accredited university or community college. This scholarship can be received for a maximum of four semesters and is renewable if the student maintains a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 and is enrolled in at least 12 hours per semester. Completing the admission process determines each transfer student’s eligibility for scholarship.

A. Earl Potts Scholarship through Alabama Baptist State Convention 2018-2019
- Must be an active member of a cooperating Alabama Baptist State Convention Church
- Must be accepted as a full-time student
- Award amount is $750 for the academic year and is available only to first-time freshman
